Our policy is based on the ACM’s anti-harassment anti-discrimination policy:
The open exchange of ideas and the freedom of thought and expression are central to the values and goals of CONFEST. They require n safe and welcoming environment that recognizes the inherent worth of every person and group. The organization of CONFEST is committed to providing such an environment during the whole event.
Expected Behavior
We expect all participants to abide by the following:
- Exercise consideration and respect your speech and actions;
- Refrian from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech;
- Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants;
- Alert community leaders if you notice dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this policy, even if they seem inconsequential
Reporting and remedy
Participants violating the standards above may be sanctioned or expelled from the meeting, at the discretion of the conference organizers. If you believe that you or anyone at CONFEST has been subjected to any type of misconduct by another attendee, you are urged to report the relevant facts promptly. Prompt reporting is very important! Reports will be followed up quickly, with further investigation conducted where needed, to confirm facts or resolve disputed facts. We will strive to keep the identity of individuals making reports as confidential as possible.
